I've been reading In Defense of Food and it is changing my life and the way I look at my food choices.
Food makers have figured out that adding the word probiotic to their ads makes their products seem healthier.
It's like saying "Del Monte bananas contain potassium". I wonder how long it is before the advertise oranges with the pitch that they'll stave off scurvy.

Also how pomegranates are all the rage now mostly due to good marketing on POM Wonderful's part.
